🔍️ X’s New Privacy Policy: Monetizing User Data
X (formerly known as Twitter) has updated its privacy policy to remove previous limits on user data retention and allow third parties to possibly train AI models with user data. Users would need to opt out in order to prevent this.
In a move to monetize X's user data, the privacy policy now has a "Liquidated Damages" section that places liability onto any organization scraping its content, charging $15,000 USD per 1 million posts in a 24-hour period. The new privacy policy goes into effect November 15th.
