🎵 Meta's AudioCraft: An AI Melody
Meta has launched AudioCraft, a framework for generating realistic audio and music from text prompts.
The open-source software includes three AI models: MusicGen, AudioGen, and EnCodec designed for music creation based on existing music, sound effects generation, and advanced audio modeling respectively.
However, the technology raises legal and ethical concerns about copyright, deepfaking voices, and cultural biases in its training data.
Meta AI is open-sourcing AudioCraft, a multi-purpose framework for generating music and sounds and enabling compression capabilities.
AudioCraft contains training and inference code for a series of models, including MusicGen, AudioGen, and EnCodec.

CoreWeave Raises Billions, Targets AI 🎯
Cloud compute provider CoreWeave has raised a total of $2.3 billion in debt financing after securing over $400 million in a series B round earlier this year.
The GPU-specialized company, whose clients range from startups to tech giants, plans to use the financing to expand its infrastructure and meet increased demand for AI and machine learning capabilities.
Amid rapid growth, CoreWeave aims to operate 14 data centers by the end of the year, and to continue scaling its workforce through 2023.

🤖 Datasaur Has Raised $7.9M Total, Extends AI Reach
Datasaur, a company pioneering in building machine learning models, enabled businesses to create models straight from label data, simplifying the process for a non-technical audience.
The firm also secured a $4 million seed extension in December. Founder Ivan Lee plans to continue democratizing artificial intelligence (AI), particularly natural language processing, with the ultimate goal of putting AI within the reach of more companies, including those without a specialized expertise.
