🤖 Anthropic Launches Claude Pro Features
Researchers at the University of California, San Francisco and the University of California, Berkeley have developed an experimental technology that translates brain signals into audible words, allowing stroke survivors to communicate through digital avatars.
The technology uses an implant with 253 electrodes placed on the surface of the brain to intercept signals and artificial intelligence algorithms to translate them into sentences spoken by a digitally animated figure.
The system has a relatively high accuracy and speed, enabling users to communicate using a wide vocabulary.
Today, we’re introducing Claude Pro, our new plan on Claude.ai offering 5x more usage.
For a monthly price of $20 (US) or £18 (UK), customers will get more message capacity, priority access during high-traffic periods, and early access to new features.

🎨 Artists Advocate for AI?
A group of artists has penned an open letter to Congress, urging for the inclusion of the creative community in discussions around the regulation and definition of generative AI.
The letter highlights that AI, machine learning, and automated tools have been utilized in art for decades and should be considered as just another tool.
The artists argue that those who use these tools should be consulted in guiding their development and regulation to ensure responsible development and protection of artists' labor.

🧠 Imbue Raises $200M in Funding for AI Research Lab
Imbue, formerly known as Generally Intelligent, has secured $200 million in a Series B funding round, valuing the AI research lab at over $1 billion.
The funding will be used to accelerate the development of AI systems that can reason and code, with the goal of building practical AI agents that can accomplish larger goals and work safely in the real world.
Imbue's approach involves training "very large" models optimized for reasoning, utilizing a compute cluster co-designed by Nvidia with 10,000 GPUs.
News: AI research lab Imbue has raised $200 million to build AI "agents" that can perform longer-term autonomous tasks.
Nvidia is now an investor, and Imbue claims access to 10,000 of its precious GPUs. But it's years away from a commercial product.
